AFL Auskick is the perfect introduction to footy for children aged 5–7 years. It’s designed to build confidence, coordination and a love of the game in a fun, supportive environment — no experience needed.

At Ocean Ridge Junior Football Club, Auskick is all about skills, smiles, and belonging. Kids learn the basics through games and activities that focus on:

• Kicking, handballing, marking and bouncing

• Teamwork and sportsmanship

• Listening, taking turns and building confidence

• Making new friends and having a great time outdoors

What’s included?

All participants who register with a Community Auskick Centre receive an Auskick Pack filled with awesome footy goodies,  including a club T-shirt, lunch box, footy cards, and more (pack contents may vary).

Season costs

Total cost: $195.00

This fee includes:

• Weekly Auskick sessions for the 2026 season

• Official NAB AFL Auskick Pack

• Coaching and program delivery

• Ground hire and insurance

KidSport vouchers:
Eligible families can use a valid KidSport Voucher during registration via:
Payment & Summary → Government Vouchers → Apply

Please note: Refunds are not possible where vouchers have not been submitted successfully.

What to wear & bring

There’s no specialist clothing required — football boots are not necessary.
We recommend:

• ORJFC Guernsey assigned to your child for the Season

• Runners/Footy Boots

• Hat and water bottle every session

• Sunscreen (especially early in the season)

Parents are part of the fun

Auskick is family-friendly and parent/guardian involvement is encouraged. Whether you’re helping on the sidelines, joining in activities, or cheering them on, it’s a great way to share the experience.

  START & FINISH TIMES FOR AUSKICK

  PRE-PRIMARY

  Arrive 0815am for an 0830am start and finish at 09.35am.

  YEAR 1

  Arrive 0945am for a 10.00am start and finish at 11.20am.

  YEAR 2

  Arrive 11.20am for a 1130am start and finish at 01.00pm.

   

  Four Auskick AFL activities will be completed and a mini match then all teams congregate to sing the club song together in the middle of the oval. After the club song, each individual team will gather separately for the coach to present player awards.

Season information

Our Auskick season runs from 2 May to 29 August 2026, with 15 sessions held on Saturday mornings at Ocean Reef Park.
Any scheduled weeks off will be communicated during the season.
